The Leaders' Challenge

If an executive program is to develop insight and innovation, its own design must be insightful and innovative.

The Advanced Leadership Program (ALP) is a radical departure from existing executive development programs:

  • The ALP is designed to have executives step back and reflect on their own experience
  • The ALP draws on the expertise of participants in the classroom as they become “friendly consultants” bringing their knowledge and experience to bear on the issues.
  • The ALP is organized around mindsets: specifically three one-week modules focusing on Reflective Leadership, Change Leadership - Designing for Change, and Action Leadership - Embedding the Change.
  • The ALP builds on challenges or issues brought in by the participants of each company, which are shared and developed throughout the program.
  • The ALP is authentically international: three schools from Asia, Europe and North America host participants from around the world.
  • The ALP sells tables, not chairs: participants come as members of company groups; they sit at round tables in a flat classroom to facilitate the sharing of experience within and across their groups.

This is a program for leadership development, embedded in a process of organizational development. We seek to advance the capabilities of executives, challenging them with new thinking while they share and advance an issue of central concern to their company.
