Module 2: Change Leadership - Designing for Change
A great deal of time is spent in company teams designing the processes and changes necessary to move forward on the issue. These proposals are tested and improved with the input from their friendly consultants. Two types of content are delivered. One is about the nature of change, designing for change, and being creative in doing that. The other matches content experts with the company issues under consideration. In a recent program the issue of developing new lines of business was addressed in a session on innovation. All teams befitted from that discussion, although the focus was on helping one particular group. Groups leave the module with a good idea of what impact they wish to bring about in their organization around their issue.
Individual and team coaching becomes more focused on change leadership and time is devoted to helping participants understand their leadership capabilities and how this influences their ability to work in their team and advance their company issue. Role playing is used where appropriate to act out the scenarios that the participants are likely to encounter back on the job. Where possible, senior management of the company attend the final presentation and engage in the class discussion.
